The Independent Short Film Festival “Via dei Corti”, one of the main new reality in the panorama of cinematographic events dedicated to the world of the short movies and not only, will celebrate its 3th edition from 13 to 17 December 2017, in the picturesque setting of the Auditorium Angelo Musco in Gravina di Catania (CT). Since the first edition, the Festival has introduced the section “Campus”, an appointment directly addressed to the young students (Secondary Schools and Universities), and to all cinema lovers.
The Campus is divided in a series of meetings that will be held at the Auditorium Angelo Musco of Gravina di Catania (CT). In these occasions, participants will have the opportunity to meet the most promising young actors, directors, voice actors, journalists, writers and cinema operators of the moment. Also, participants will be the main protagonists through a series of initiatives directly dedicated to them. It will be a unique opportunity for students who will have the possibility of being able to share their passion for cinema with the most appreciated protagonists and promising local talent of cinema.
During the last edition, the guests of the section Campus were: Giuseppe Sciacca, Ninni Panzera, Vincenzo Cosentino, Marius Mele, Rosario Scuderi, Elio Sofia, Alessandro De Filippo, the director and actors of the web series “A famigghia”, “Red Shawl” and “Le Fantastiche Avventure di Zerbino”, the authors Cinzia Nazzareno, Massimo Fazio, Adriano Di Gregorio, Maurizio Zignale and many others.
The cost of registration to “Campus” is 10.00 euro and it includes the chance to be part of the Jury Campus that will award the prize for the BEST SICILIAN FILM to one of the films in competition in the section FILM IN SICILY.
The University of Catania supports the section CAMPUS; the students wishing to participate in the initiative will obtain the recognition of credits (CFU), if they are enrolled in the degree course “Formatore di Operatori Turistici” or in one of the degrees of the Department of Humanities. Moreover, for high school students, there is the possibility to obtain a bonus point for other training activities which can be used for the final exams.
Students aged over 18 can take part in the Festival as volunteers and collaborate with the staff in carrying out numerous tasks required for the realisation of such an important event. Also for this activity, it will be possible to obtain the CFU for students enrolled in the degrees above-mentioned.
